OK, so I can admit I am computer illiterate, but at the risk of sounding dumb, why is the envelope on my thread the only one with a black dot on the envelope? What does it mean? I can't find any info at the bottom of the page on it. I wonder if I did something wrong since mine seems to be the only one.

Don't worry its not a dumb question at all :-) when your "logged" in to the forum, the black dot on the envelope indicates any posts you have made or threads you have replied to. Yours would be the only one 'cause its the only post you've made :-)

And as I say, if you don't ask, you never know and continue wondering and that's lots worse
