Chris-- the Hoosier state (for those who don't know, that's Indiana) stopped scoliosis screening a few years ago. I believe it's all based on this, and what can you do when the professionals say it's not necessary? Unfortunately, a lot of kids will go unnoticed.

After looking around some more at dates, it looks like they now have changed and this is their current stand:


I think, though, that the damage was done a few years back. If I read this correctly, it says if you currently have a screening program in your state, they recommend you keep it. When they no long recommended it back a few years ago, many states stopped mandating the screening programs, and I'm sure they're not about to start them up now, especially with all the economic problems we are having.

That still isn't real current. Anyone find anything more current from them than Nov. 2007?
