is it bad....

Sorry if I'm posting so much. As stated in earlier posts I am 5 months post op and I've managed to pick up my 2 year old 29lb little girl 4 times or so since my surgery. I know I'm not supposed to, but when she hurts herself or is upset the mommy instinct kicks in and I just do it subconsiously. I'm wondering if that is bad for the fusion that is taking place. I know I'm not supposed to be picking anything up that weighs more than a gallon of milk. Any pointers on what I should do to keep myself from picking her up??? I'm short of tying my hands behind my back sometimes.
