  • Clear doesn't pay taxes? A non-profit org?

Much to my stunned dismay, Clear is apparently now considered a non-profit organization! This is according to Stitzel on that forum he writes on. Since when do chiropractors or anyone else running their own chain of businesses not have to pay taxes? Surely that means everyone running a business shouldn't have to pay taxes...including doctors.

The U.S. is surely falling into third world territory rapidly. This is ridiculous. Our government is a joke.....it does whatever any business wants it to...that's why we had the financial system collapse worldwide last year. Time to vote all of them out of office.

That's amazing. Like Candid Camera amazing... people could be filmed just for their reaction to reading that.

So Clear is entirely a non-profit? No business side? How can we check?

I hope all the patients who are "contributing" to this "charity" deduct the treatment costs as charitable contributions.

One can only hope that at least one IRS employee reads one of the forums. If all that would be profit is paid out in salaries to the principals, is that still considered a non-profit?

        Their Facebook page ...

        ... states they're a non-profit ...

I've never called the IRS about anyone in my life, but these clowns may have motivated me to do so ...

Is this still the case... CLEAR is a non-profit society? Baffling to say the least.

I don't know what's going on with that but I tried to see if there has been any disposition of the Pettibon lawsuit against Clear. All I could find was the original case filing (or whatever)...

            http://dockets.justia.com/docket/was...v05784/164579/

Then a link to chirobase came up because Pettibon is a particular class of chiro (or something). Check out the handheld power tool being used on a small child's neck...

            http://www.chirobase.org/06DD/cbp.html

Handheld power tools are popular in chiro it seems.

Just wondering if anyone every found out anything further about CLEAR not paying taxes or claiming to be a non-profit organization....and whether that is true or not.

Wow thanks for following up on this.

I would also like to know the disposition, if any, of the Pettibon intellectual property lawsuit against CLEAR. I think that's what it was.

The latest development I can find on the Pettibon v. Clear cases is over three years ago.

Yup, it seems impossible to find anything more current. Very strange.

The case was closed on 10 March 2011 but it doesn't say the disposition.
