I am new to this forum. My son is 15 and has an almost 90* lumbar curve. When initally diagnosed we had tried some chiropractic but it was not successful for us - maybe it was already too late.
Anyway - we are now looking at surgery. Our surgeon here has said he will do a posterior surgery. When we went for a second opinion, that surgeon said she would recommend anterior surgery due to the size of the curve and since Danny is almost done growing. She thought she could get more flexibility out of his spine from the front.
Does anyone have any experience with anterior surgery? Posterior seems more popular - I don't read much about anterior.
THanks for your help!
