Hi -
My 12-yr-old daughter just picked up her TLSO Boston Brace yesterday and we had a few questions for you experienced brace-wearers.
1. She was ok sleeping in it (thanks to the great advice on this forum about buying a memory foam mattress topper) but she is very uncomfortable sitting in it. The top of the brace seems to press against her sternum. Is this normal and just takes getting used to, or is it something we should get changed? If so, should we go back to the orthotist or to the orthopedic specialist who prescribed the brace? If we lower the brace a little so that it doesn't come up so high in the front, it presses uncomfortably on her hip.
2. Here's a question we didn't see addressed anywhere!! She wanted to know how to pull her underwear back up under the brace when she used the bathroom!! Embarrassing but important question!!
Thanks for any advice!
