Thanks Linda, Sandy & Connie for your replies! Are you able to shower in hospital???

Also, I live 1 hour away from the hospital - will I be okay to sit in a car for one hour 7 days after my operation or do I need to ask about alternate transportation?

Hi Kylie-Ann...

You should definitely check with your surgeon's office, or with other patients in your area.

I was in the hospital for 12 days, and was able to shower on the 11th day.

I was fine sitting in a regular car to get home. If the hospital is a long way from home, you may need to take frequent stops to get out and walk, or lay down. Bring pillows of multiple sizes so that you can be made as comfortable as possible in the car seat.
