  • Successful surgery

I arrived home yesterday, one week post op. Boy, does it ever good to be home.

Quite the invalid, of course. Letting my wonderful husband and mother help me out a lot.

Pain is pretty much a constant although most of the time it is not too bad.

Dr. Trammell told my family that when he got in there he found me even more flexible than the pre-op bending xrays had suggested so he got even better correction than he expected.

Funny how little things wear me out. Just eating a small snack and writing this short note and I'm ready to go back to bed.

I've been thinking of my forum friends. You have all helped me through this so much! Thanks for being there.

    Sheri

You are doing wonderfully to be on the computer at this early stage. It's very normal for small things to wear you out, but it does gradually get better. Glad you're getting plenty of support and help.

All the best for a smooth, unrushed and complete recovery!

Upper curve 40 degrees; lower 35 degrees
        Surgery in March '08' (T6 - T11)
Rods for 7 vertabraes; 3 fused
Still have lumbar curve (T12 - L4) of now, 33 degrees
I have osteoarthritis, 3 bulging discs, stenosis, fast progressing lordosis, vertebrea twisting (vertebreas almost on side) all in lumbar spine. Will most likely have another surgery to extend rods and fusion. :'(
