Hi everyone,
I am glad to have found this website. I have identical twin daughters, aged 5. My one daughter has a "congenital levoconvex thoracolumbar scoliosis with segmentaion and fusion anomalies at the thoracolumbar junction." It is a 15 degree scoliosis with fusion anomaly from T10 to L2.
We are seeing my GP in Calgary and will be referred to the Children's Hospital.
I am looking for recommendations on orthaeopedic pediatricians who specialize in atypical scoliosis. I am interested in hearing about specialists across Canada.
Second, I am hoping for input into recommended next steps and what questions I should be asking, and what expertise I should be demanding.
Your help is appreciated.
Katherine
