    Just out of curiosity...has anyone had any problems with excessive scar tissue after surgery their surgery that has given them any problems?

    Diagnosed at 10, Boston brace from 11-13 yrs old.
    50* Lumbar w/ 5 centimeter shift to the left and slight rib hump...
    Surgery Date: April 15 and April 22, 2009
    X-LIF approach for disc repair L5,L4,L3,L2
    Posterior Approach for fusions L5-T5
    Dr. Fox @ Naval Medical Center Portsmouth
    Nice and straight now!!!!!

    Do you mean external scarring or internal adhesions? Since I'm here, I might as well answer ... I've had neither.
    Fusion is NOT the end of the world.

      I guess internal. I ask because I know a woman from my chiropractors office who had back surgery (not scoliosis) but her surgery went well but she has so much scar tissue it causes a lot of muscle problems and nerve issues so I just thought I would check. I probably shouldn't go looking for things to worry about!
