  • Thoracic Curve question

Hello. I am an adult male in my early 30's.

Recently during a massage session, the massage therapist inquired whether I was aware that I had a slight curvature of my spine. I replied I was not, since a doctor had never informed me of such, and I had never personally noticed it.

My question: Are scoliosis and the development of a thoracic curve specifically triggered due to a disease, or can scoliosis and a thoracic curve be triggered due to a spinal or chest/torso injury?

The reason I ask is that I have periodically in my adult life received injuries to my back and torso areas, and was wondering if these injuries could trigger the development of scoliosis and/or a thoracic curve.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
