Thanks for sharing the pics, Jen. You are looking great! Keep us posted on how you are doing-- and how long before you'll be back to going dancing again. You are so young that it probably won't be toooo long.

Discombobulated - One of the first questions I asked was if I could keep the metal. He said it isn't that strange of a question to ask. So the picture you see is from my kitchen table! The hardware is all mine! But I did pay for it, well my parents did :P
Thanks loves to skate and Susie*Bee. I am feeling pretty well for being 2 1/2 weeks out, so hopefully "good as new" comes quickly!!26 year old female

Sorry I haven't been on in awhile! I have a lot of catching up to do!!!
Here I am 2 months after surgery and I have to say I feel great!
I pretty much went off of pain meds 2 weeks after surgery.
I was out of work for 4 weeks then part time until the end of the year.
The best part of recovery was getting engaged!!!
I guess seeing someone at their worst really shows you how much you love them!!
The exercises the PT gave me have really helped.
My worst fear was going through the surgery and then finding out it didn't help with the pain, but I don;t think that will be the case!!
I still have some pain when I move the wrong way, but I think that is all surgery pain. SO lets hope April 11th, 2009 I will be able to dance the night away with my new hubby and not feel any pain!
Doc says I am doing amazingly well, and also added that us scoliosis patients always seem to deal with things much better
I will admit, seeing the xray without the metal felt strange, like a something was missing, but I think it was all worth it!26 year old female

Ooh, a huge congrats! And thanks for sharing the news!
I'm so glad the op ws successful. I know the feeling of just "waiting around" to see if it's been successful to fix the pain, etc. - but it sure sounds like you're doing great, so *all fingers crossed*.
Here's to a happy, healthy 2009 for you & the fiance
