Coverage for Spincore vrs. hard brace

I am brand new at this and wanted to find out if anyone knows why in Ont. that the hard braces are covered by OHIP and benefits but the Spincore brace is not covered at all by anyone?? With a full family budgeting a brace in is going to be interesting.

I am guessing that it is so new that it is considered experimental at the moment. That would be a very common reason for insurance to deny coverage.

Presumably, clinicians will be publishing more studies in the next several years and it won't be considered experimental (assuming it is shown to be efficacious).
