Sometimes I feel a burn in my upper back. Are those the rods that are making me feel that?

Re: Burning Sensation
Yes, I believe this is what causes that burning pain I have experienced this on and off for years, my doctor said it is probably muscles rubbing up against the rods. Laying down and taking pain medication usually helps me. By the way, I am Puerto Rican too, I was born in Arecibo, but I moved to California when I was A kid my dad still lives there and I LOVE to visit.

I too have had this burning feeling in the mid-upper portion on the left side of my scar. I had harrington rod but was removed in 1983. Recently had MRI, nerve conduction study, the works. I too think it is curve progression as it is just above the rib hump that we know has been progressing. Is this really what is causing the burning? don't know. I do know that the burning was constant for a few months, the air caused pain, could not stand clothing. It has now subsided in as much that it comes & goes. However, have been left with increased rib hump pain as I call it in the same vacinity. I will be glad if someone can tell us what this really is & why. Glad you asked the questionscoli appeared age 15

I wore a Boston Brace from 2007-2010
My curves were 30 and 31
I now have only a single curve which stands at 35 degrees.
I owe all of my blessings to The Lord!
