Dr. Rivard in Montreal (one of the inventors of the Spinecor brace) will prescribe the brace for curves up to 50 degrees. Our daughter has curves about 50 degrees and he agreed to let her try it. He only gave it a 15% chance of working for her but we wanted to try it because we don't want her to have the surgery. She is also having Rolfing treatments. These treatments make her back look and feel straighter - her posture is much improved by these treatments.
We don't know yet whether this will work for Esme but we are hoping it will.
Another brace to look at for large curves is the Cheneau.
Good luck. Please let us know what you decide.
