Sorry for any confusion, only commenting on my individual positive experience with minimally invasive procedure for severe spinal stenosis and facet hypertrophy. I would expect that any good spinal surgeon with the equivalent amount of experience with this relatively new area of minimally invasive surgery would have gotten the same result barring any complications. I just think that it could not hurt for anyone to get a second opinion from a minimally invasive surgeon before undergoing open back surgery, if there is an available successful alternative approach to repair their individual diagnosis. I am not touting any specific center or physician or procedures just advocating a lot of research into alternatives. The "standard of care" is not always the best answer for the individual patient. Hey, the guy did a great job on me, someone else could have a different outcome - back problems are notoriously quirky.
