Anyone had a wedge removed?

My surgeon is considering going back in to remove a wedge of bone because of the angle of my rods. I am off a good inch to one side and it is very noticable and uncomfortable when walking. I have heard that sometimes the "lean to one side" corrects itself somewhat during the months following surgery.

Would like to know if you have had this done or know anyone who did how successful it was.
