  • Ian update

Just wanted to give a brief update on Ian. Ian began serial casting at 43 degrees with Dr. Khoury at Shriners Hospital for Children in Erie, PA who used Mehta's technique for casting. He wore a total of 8 POP jackets and a modified TLSO brace (molded exactly like his casts with the same mushroom cutouts) for an additional 4 months. In total he spent 22 months in casts & a brace. We stopped bracing in September as he was doing so well. We just had his latest x-rays sent up to Shriners and the good news is that he is now 3 degrees and that is after 3 months of no additional support! We couldn't be happier!
