Scoliosis Scholarships?

I breifly considered applying under a disability when I signed up at my current college...I wish now that I had because my scoli is painful enough that it inhibits my ability to sleep (thus my 5am post) and I often fall asleep in classes, or just flat out sleep through them. I was a bit astonished at the angry reactions I got, even after I explained my condition. I showed them papers, but the most recent information I have at the moment is from 2002, and they said "Scoliosis doesn't last that long." I was near tears, it was 25% of my grade....I had to drop the class or lose my scholarship.

I think when I transfer this year I'm going to ask them about disability. I'm too scared that it will happen again.
