Greetings,
My 13 year old daughter has been referred to an orthopedic surgeon for 14 and 15 degree curvature. She has not had her adolescent growth spurt yet.
She is under a tremendous amount of emotional stress due to divorce and other factors. Two years ago she was being treated for Post Traumatic Stress Disorder after a car accident in which she had no physical injuries. The treatment for the PTSD was not completed.
Is anybody aware of any studies which may have been done invetigating the role of emotional stress in causing scoliosis? Any information would be gratefully received.
Thank you,
Stevenvalpo
