There's no harm in opening it, ..it won't bite.
Let's keep in mind that evidence based science is not the same as evidence based medicine. Medicine is not truly a science, but rather science has been applied to medicine in it jealous fury to be like physics and such... unfortunately there are far fewer absolute truths in medicine. It's application is important but also limited.
In any case, Barret is not really practicing what he preaches if he is also being deceitful... and is unable to pass an exam in his own profession. It goes to show that what he learned in med school back in the 50's doesn't necessarily apply to the current days standards and knowledge base. Things change, ...maybe he needs to catch up with the times instead of using medicine from the 50's to evaluate medicine in the 21st century.
