    Please don't apologize!! There is NO need. You were simply repeating what you were told by the specialist you saw. I'm sure mostly everyone understood that.

    In addition, the doctor was no doubt giving you what was HIS honest medical opinion. From my own experience, and from speaking to countless others, the doctors at Shriners Hospitals are not only top-notch professionals, but they have only the child's best interests at heart.

    If we were afraid to share information openly and honestly with each other, what good would forums like this be???

    Please continue to speak freely. I hope this is still a "happy place" for you and that none of the responses you got changed that - because I'm sure that was not the intent

      Daughter, Deirdre born Oct 2000. Diagnosed with 60 degree curve at the age of 19 months. Serial casting by Dr. Hedden at Sick Kid's Hospital. Currently being treated by Dr. Rivard and Dr. Coillard in Montreal with the Spinecor brace and curve is holding at "2" degrees. Next appointment 2008
