  • Hump in neck area

I have noticed that the base of my neck has become very rounded with a hump-like appearance. Does anyone else have this? My neck is always in pain and it's hard to keep my head up for long. Do you know what causes this area to round? Is there anything I could do to improve pain and appearance?

I believe it is called thoracic kyphosis or "widows hump". It is common among postmenopausal women, obese women & those w/scoliosis of the thorasic region. It is know to be associated w/osetoporosis. I have one & I am neither menopausal nor obese. & I have never been diagnosed w/osetoporosis either (just scoliosis). There are supposed improvement techniques for this problem, but if they work probably depends on the cause & severity. Here is a link I found that might help. Posture Link I'm going to look for more on this subject. Hope you find a technique that helps you.
