  • Lordex Decompression Unit

I've never posted on this thread, non-surgical, because I've been operated on but now I came across an article in a magazine called SugarLand Magazine, page 40, about a new machine. Has anyone heard about the Lordez Decompression Unit? It seems far-out to me and also raises a bunch of red flags, but thought I'd ask if anyone out there heard about this?

1975 Clear hard plastic body cast worn
1976 Operated for high grade Spondylolisthesis; lumbar fused from L2-Sacrum and Harrington rods inserted
1976 Wore regular type body cast and in bed rest for 1 year
    1977 Rods removed
2006 Diagnosed with Flat back syndrome with sagittal imbalance
2008 Scheduled for wide pedicle subtraction osteotomy, sooner if pain increases

300 pounds on a 6' frame? No wonder he's got back problems.

Don't know anything about this contraption either.

Reminds me of an ad I saw in a NY subway...http://nycdisc.com/ . It doesnt say anything about scoli patients, but I would hope that we would be a red flag!!! I cant imagine tugging on a disc (ouch) but pulling on something that is already out of line that puts abnormal pressures on discs to begin with would be controversial at best (it would pull in all diff directions).
