Hello. I just was wondering if anyone else has had nerve damage after their surgeries? I had an EMG done last week and it would appear that I have a form of neuralgia- it causes me some pretty intense pain and nerve spasms in my back. Feels like I am getting shocked or stabbed all over the place. They are trying some nerve meds & Oxy for pain. Anyone else have these? What works? Also, does anyone know if this is just something that happened to me or is it because of the surgery? Will this go away? Thanks in advance for your help!

Re: Lower vertebrae moved forward
Hi there:
I have a little different problem after surgery via Hugo Keim in 1978. My fusion did not include the L5 vertebrae. After an accident last week, I had pain in my lower right back - more towards my hip than back. X-rays show the L5 has moved forward - not due the this recent accident, radiologist says it looks like it has moved forward over time.
Anyone else have this and if so, did you opt for some type of treatment?
Thanks.....

Angela,
I have nerve pain, muscle pain, and mechanical pain. I take Lyrica for the nerve pain and it has helped a lot. I no longer have alot of the buzzing, tingling feelings I was having. It works great.Theresa
