  • Dr. Ricciardi In Louisiana?

I was just wondering if anyone has heard of Dr. Ricciardi In Kenner,LA. I have an appointment with him on Sept. 28th and I'm nervous about seeing someone I have never heard of. I have Harrington Rods that were put in about 20 yrs. ago and one of them is broke and the other has defused from the upper part of my spine. I was told by a local ortho. doc that I would probably need surgery again since I have went from 44 degrees to 55 degrees in the past 10 yrs. Any help or referrals are greatly appreciated. I can travel anywhere in LA. or any surrounding states, I will go further if I have to. I think it's worth the travel to see the right doc. Thanks!

Dr Ricciardi is my doctor now. He's following my case since the doctor who performed my sugery has moved to Denver. He's an older man and I think he'll be retiring next year. I think he said he's no longer doing the longer complicated surgeries like I had in 2002. Twelve plus hours in the operating room is very difficult, even for a younger doctor.

What did you find out? Is he referring you to another surgeon? He did tell me that we are quickly losing specialists in the area since the Big K.

I'm looking foreward to hearing about your visit.
