  • Question about old medical records

Hello! I hope to get some information about medical records. In the late 60's, early 70's I wore a Milwaukee brace and was seeing an orthopaedic doctor, Dr. Liggett, in New York. I've recently heard that medical records for scoliosis patients cannot be destroyed, and my old records are most likey on microfiche somewhere. My problem is the "somewhere" part. I have to assume that the doctor is retired by now, and I can't remember much about the office, location, etc. Does anyone have any advice or knowledge of this doctor? Thank you so much for any help anyone can give.

    Michele

I think that may be incorrect information.
