search for a cure

I thought that this was a peculiar thing to say, "search for a cure". Scoliosis is not curable. All you can do is manage it. If exercise makes you feel better and I think most people would agree that it helps, then that is probably good management of your scoliosis. For other people, surgery helps them to manage their symptoms--but it doesn't seem like you are wanting surgery yet. Just do what you are comfortable with. Everyone has a different way of dealing with scoliosis and most of them aren't wrong, some are just more expensive than others.

When I think of "searching for a cure" I think of finding genetic links or causes, and finding ways to prevent scoliosis. Maybe not a "cure" per se, but finding ways to eliminate scoliosis in future generations, or to modify a causing factor in order to minimize scoliosis.35 years old. Boston braced from age 11-16. My prediction is the surgery, present and future approaches, will be curing many more folks folks way before the molecular biology approaches pan out.
My kid is back in general population on future back issues now despite having a block vertebrae from T4-L1.

Not only do some folks never need any further treatment (apparently) but they are identically situated in terms of propensity and incidence of any and all future back problems as others in the population.
That meets my definition of a "cure;" The claim that any underlying condition may persist is irrelevant at that point. YMMV.Sharon, mother of identical twin girls with scoliosis
