scar question

I am concerned about my scar from my hip graf. About an inch of it is really red. There is no soreness or any bumps or knots of any kind. I check my scars and back regularly and have never seen it do this. ( I had my surgery forever ago) I have not gained weight, changed detergents, changed types of undergarments, etc, so I don't know what to attribute this to. It has been this way for at least 24 hours now, and am not sure if I should have it checked out.
any suggestions?

I'd have it checked out if I were you - it's not worth risking an infection. As the op was so long ago, it's unlikely to be anything serious, but any change is worrying, isn't it? Good luck, Diana.
