Hi im 17 years old and i just found the result of my x-rays...i really dont know what this means and i was looking on the internet and found this site it looks really helpful so if anyone can tell me what this means plz theres too many big words lol if someone can translate this into lamens terms plz i will really appreciate it i have an app. in like 4 wks and i dont want to wait so long to find out THANK YOU:
THIS IS WHAT IT SAYS ON THE PAPER:
Uilizing the GE Silhouette HR, anterior and posterior erect views were obtained of the dorsal and lumbar spine inlucing the iliac crest.
There is scoliois of the doral spine convexity to the right. Utilizing T4 and
T10 vertebral bodies as markers, the scoliotic curve appeares to be app. 35 degrees . there is scoliosis of the dorsal lumbar spine convexity to the left. Utillizing t100 and L3 vertebral as markers, the scoliotic curvarture is app. 51
degrees
Ther is no sign to suggest fracture, compression deformity, or abnormalities such as boney bur or hemivertebra. This scoliosis is probably on an idiopathis basis.
Impression:
1.Idiopathic mid doral dextroscoliosis. the spinal cuvature is app. 35 degrees
2.Dorsal lumbar levoscoliosis. The scoliotic curbature is app. 51 degrees
Is this bad or REALLY bad i dunno what to think?
i think surgery will prolly be in my future tho...
