    A question about...

I would like some help about vertebreas? I have my results with me from my tomogram and it mostly says that I have problems with L4...I'm not sure where that is I will ask my ortho when I get my appointment but I'm curious. It says that there could be some movement, inflammation or osteo degenerative problems there, but nothing is clear. Anyway, my results are in French so I don't know exactly how to translate all but will wait to ask further questions to the specialist, right now I just want to know if it's the region where my broken rod is, it says L4.

Thanks in advance for any help

    Hi...

You can find a drawing here:

L4 is two vertebrae above the sacrum.

In reality, I think that L4 ise about right at the top of your butt crack.

Thanks Linda! Quick reply as always That is very informative and I always wonder about all the vertebreas. I'm not fused there, very interesting. That is where I get the "shooting" pain, will discuss this with my ortho.

    Hi Lori...

The one I normally use is a poster that I have. It's too large to scan. I found this however:

It's not labeled, but you probably know enough to figure out which vertebra is which.

Note that L4 is more at waist level than at the top of the butt crack as I previously stated.

    Regards,
    Linda

    Hi Lori...

This is probably not what you're looking for, but I found some really interesting images in one of my books (Spinal Disorders Diagnosis and Treatment):
