    Hi!
Next to surgery was I quite straight: I got good correction of lordosis, scoliosis and of kyphosis. And then, in my opinion, returned kyphosis. But possible is it because I not straighten...

If you got correction from the surgery, and then you lost it again within a year, and with your prominent hardware, it's certain that your hooks have come out. I don't know how a surgeon can see your back and your x-rays and tell you everything's all right.

If they fix it, the correction of the kyphosis will come back and the lumps will disappear totally.

When you saw the specialists, did your back look like it does now?

Thank you for the answer. Probably are you right, that it doesn't look as it should. When I was at the doctor everything looked like it looks now. Do you think that it coluld be left? In this state? Or have I to have second surgery? Does it pain the same less then thirst operation?

          Julia:
I sent you a private message. I have a doctor friend in your part of Poland.
Maybe she can help you find help. Her phone number and address are in the private message.

Please don't let him say everything's all right - chain yourself to the room until he tells you that you've come off your hooks and he's going to do something about it! Good luck Julia :-)

                Hi Julia...

I sent your story and pictures to Dr. Serenu Hu at UCSF. Here's her reply:
It looks like it’s still engaged/in place. I often have patients tell me their prominent rod doesn’t become obvious till several months post op cause it takes awhile for the post op swelling to go down. But it looks fine.

If the hardware really bothers you, you might want to consider having it removed once your fusion is really solid.

                Regards,
                Linda

Surely if Julia's lost her correction so soon after surgery, it should be looked at more closely?
