  • Texas Back Institute

Any one have any knowledge on Texas Back Institute? I’ve got to do something. I’m going downhill quickly. Can’t do anything without dying in pain. Can’t do any of the things I enjoy. Spend most of my time lying down staring at my ceiling. Thank you all. I appreciate you!

There is also Dr Hostin who worked with Dr Shelokov years ago before he passed away.

If you go to Texas, this is another option

Thank you ED for the good wishes but I have been better. I have a very severe case of Osteomyelitis. My blood tests came back with very bad numbers

My fantastic surgeon from Southern CA went there for an outstanding career opportunity. Unfortunately, his family did not like it there so he returned to Southern Californa. He stated that the place was top notch and had very knowledgeable doctors. They used very new techniques.

Can I assume you are talking about Dr Hostin?

I contacted Dr Shelokov's office about 15 years ago when I was getting jumpy about finally having my scoliosis surgeries....I was running out of time, and knew it. Then my surgeon came to town and so kept it local....There are a bunch of old Dr Shelokov patients here on this forum. He was a good surgeon.

You have not posted for some time. I know you had a broken rod and were waiting....or just stopped on that. That isn't presenting any pain?

I know you are tough.....You are NO stranger to pain....

Poor Rita is in a difficult situation. I recommended Dr Joshi in Chicago for Ketamine treatment, I don't know if you know about this, I posted a thread with videos on him, and his cutting edge pain control methods. Its something we need to be aware of. I had Ketamine anesthesia, not infusions. There are many testimonials from extreme pain patients of all sorts on the Ketamine subject matter....Dr Joshi is an anestheologist. Susan and Jackie also had Ketamine.

Somebody else has posted here about being diagnosed with Osteomyelitis recently....I cant remember who. Infection is something we need to be aware of.

I am losing my memory these days...and really feeling the effects of age.

It very well could be that doctor. We did not discuss the doctor's name. I will start a new thread to talk about my situation.

I so appreciate everyone on here! We feel so alone sometimes ....just you and your pain! Every day. All day. It gets to be a lot, but we are strong and will remain so. Hopefully pain will just go away someday. With your help.
