    Will this be outpatient?

From what I am seeing, they have these foot surgeries dialed in now without fusion which is amazing.

Good luck with your surgery Kara. Will there be physical therapy after?

I got home around 3 pm or 3:30 pm. My reconstructive foot surgery took 2.5 hours. They did 6 out of 7 procedures. They didn’t need to repair ligament in my ankle because that was a possible procedure. They did a first metatarsal Dorsiflexor osteotomy, Dwyer’s Calcaneal osteotomy, a Partial Plantar Fasciotomy, Peroneal longus to brevis tendon transfer, right gastrocnemius recession. Right next now I’m in a splint until I go back to get my first cast in two weeks then get it changed to another cast. I’m also suppose to follow up 1 week after my surgery. Right now I’m in a splint. I won’t be able to walk for 6 weeks. After 6 weeks I’ll be in a walk boot cast for 6 more weeks with Gradual weight-bearing with physical therapy

Thanks for checking in after surgery Kara. Wow that is a lot of procedures! Are you in any pain?

Hopefully you won't need any more surgery in your lifetime. You have had a lot.

Ed I’m actually not in pain.
Tomorrow I’ll be 2 weeks post-op from my reconstructive foot surgery. In four days I get this splint off and also my stitches removed and I get my first of two casts on.

                      Kara, sounds great!

On a 0-10 pain scale, how would you rate this surgery? Zero would be no pain.

Remember, in the Olympics, they usually do not hand out perfect 10's. (smiley face)
