  • 16 years post A-P revision and doing well.

Haven't been on the forum in years. I do want to add, that at age 76, I am still pain free. Aging has taken place with the assortment of new disorders unrelated. Another old post talked about my bout with small bowel obstruction (2012) but that's history.

Without the revision surgery at age 60 I certainly wouldn't have had the quality of life since then or maybe wouldn't have lived this long. I worked until age 68. Funny thing, people asked at the time of my revision if I would go on "disability". I was glad that wasn't the case.

So, I say it was well worth it.

Anterior/posterior revision T-4 to Sacrum in 2002, age 60, by Dr. Boachie-Adjei @Hospital for Special Surgery, NY = 50% correction

We really missed you around here....Glad you are posting again. (and pain free also!)

For those new readers, Karen was originally done by Dr Cobb in 1956. He was the one who came up with Cobb angles!
