Do you know which imaging is for which case? CT scans have a lot of radiation and if that one is to detect a micro fracture where they won't do anything then I think I would refuse it if it was me.

    The MRI is safe.

Question: What do you call alternative medicine that works?
    Answer: Medicine

I also have heard this before. We do become brave souls after our surgeries.....Kara, you are a brave one.

As for me, I'm not that brave anymore....I'm just a big chicken....

Like Sharon mentioned, that is a lot of imaging.....

Are you still there in the Davis Sacramento area waiting?

Are you going to shoot your diagnostics up in Eureka or do you have to go back to Davis? It sure makes it hard travelling in pain, I have done a lot of that through the years.

No, I am chicken. It's the rotisserie that makes me dizzy and the BBQ sauce makes me jumpy. These are just 2 complications that chickens have to worry about. (smiley face)

Are you taking any pain meds? Any anti-inflammatories? I would ask your doctor about this for pain. They work well for herniated discs and soft tissue pain.

I have to go back down to Sacramento for the mri and ct scan.
I do take ibuprofen for the pain. When I take it the pain normally goes from 6-7 down to 5-6

                Kara,
I am sorry about your fall. It's a good thing you saw the surgeon. Hopefully, injections will help the pain or it will heal in its own as your surgeon said.

Thanks jackie. I’m still waiting for the authorization from my insurance for the CT and MRI.
In the mean time to try to distract myself from the pain and waiting I been drawing owls.

I love owls as well. I also love all other types of birds. I have 2 parakeets and a canary.
I was looking at a mri and a ct scan I had back in 2005 I had a herniated disc before.
