    Hi,
Darn! My two year appt. is May 20th with Dr. Lenke. I am sad Dr. Lenke is leaving , but happy for him,
as I'm sure it's an opportunity of a lifetime. Hope you are doing well. I do pretty good most the time. Warmer weather is great for the bones. I'm sure you're looking forward to some golfing now that it's warmer!
Good Luck with your FOUR year appt. Hard to believe four years already. You take care !

    Hi, Linda,
I am sorry we will miss each other with our appointments. Good luck with your check up. Let me know how it goes. I feel exactly the same about Dr. Lenke leaving. I'm so thankful that he was my surgeon and also glad I get to see him one more time.

    4 years now.....wow!

I didn’t go in on much of any schedule, the last time I went in was for my neck 2 years ago which was 5 years post. They acted like “where have you been?” I didn't know....

I told them I was downtown picking up pennies off the sidewalk.....He he (scoliosis forum humor)

    Tamena,
I live in Waterloo,IL which is only 40 minutes from Barnes so I won't be there the day before. I hope your daughter's appointment goes well.

    Hello!

I can't believe you are at the four-year mark! Congrats!! You have been a huge inspiration to me, and I thank you. That video of you teeing off after your surgery is everything!! (big smiley)

Good luck with your appointment. I don't go back to The Lou until June, and we'll go to Chesterfield rather than Barnes (it is closer and less of a hike once I get there). LOL Will be thinking of you and praying! I'm sure it will be nothing but good news!

    Take care,

    4 Year Check Up Today

Dr. Lenke looked at my x-rays and said, "Everything looks the same and that's what we want to see". I asked about fusion and he pointed it out to me on an x-ray. When I asked, he didn't guarantee that I would never have a broken rod, but said that it is unlikely and the more years post-op the less likelihood of it happening. I am so thankful to Dr. Lenke for straightening my spine and getting rid of my rib hump of which I was so self conscious. It was sad to tell him good-bye today. I tried to express my appreciativeness but felt that I should have said so much more.
