A co-worker needs a referral for a friend in Puerto Rico with adult scoliosis. Hopefully to avoid having to come to the States for treatment.
Karen
Original scoliosis surgery 1956 T-4 to L-2 ~100 degree thoracic (triple)curves at age 14. NO hardware-lost correction.
Anterior/posterior revision T-4 to Sacrum in 2002, age 60, by Dr. Boachie-Adjei @Hospital for Special Surgery, NY = 50% correction
You probably already know this, but the only doctor listed by the SRS in Puerto Rico is:
John M. Flynn, MD
Torre De Auxilio Mutuo
(787) 759-7058
735 Ponce De Leon Avenue
Suite 513
San Juan PR 00917
who only treats kids. It might be beneficial for your co-workers friend to call Dr. Flynn to see if he has any recommendations.
Regards,
Linda
