Thanks! Aside of some nerve pain still hitting me I am doing well. Time is sure flying by quick.

Sorry, got busy at work and forgot to write the results. Things are healing. Still having nerve trouble so I am staying on the Gaba a while longer. I have started PT to work on re-gaining my strength and core. I now have a custom orthotic heel lift to help with the pelvic tilt that I have. I am using my TENS for the nerve issues in the lower back and to relieve tension in my neck and shoulders. So, all in all I am do great on the road to recovery.
          Thanks for checking!

Need a little advice: a week ago today I was standing on the concrete patio holding my lab/great Pyrenees (10+) dogs leash when two of my kids rode up on their horses and freaked my dog out. In all the commotion Chloe (my dog) took off running and it happened so fast I didn't respond by letting go of the leash. So I got thrown to the ground and stepped on by her.

Since then I have been taking prescription anti inflammatories, using a TENS Unit, ice, Voltarin gel, bio freeze, flexeril, and heat. Nothing seems to be taking the pain away. The pain is from the top of my right hip to the middle if my butt. Is this the area that the pelvic screws are? And how long should I wait to naturally let it heal before going for an X-ray?

I hope the pain is inflamation and will heal with time, but if it were me, I would call Dr. Kelly's office and tell them what happened to see if they think you should get an x-ray.

                  Hi Tamena,

I'm so sorry to hear that! I agree with Karen that you should definitely call your surgeon since it is not getting better after a week. See if they recommend x-rays.

                  Take care,

                    Hi Tamena,

That sounds like it would be so painful and scary! I'm so sorry that happened!

I would second (or third) everyone else's advice. Figure it's better to err on the cautious side while we're still healing. At least it will give you peace of mind, too. It probably will take a little while to heal no matter what the cause of your pain...
