Tamena, you mentioned that you did not have a central line during the last surgery. Well, I was trying to figure out how I had such extensive surgery (ten hours) and no cutdown for a central venous line inserted by the clavicle. According to Linda, the anesthesiologist can insert a central venous line through a peripheral IV insertion. So, you may have had a central line with your last surgery, it was just inserted peripherally.

I will be excited to hear how you are doing after surgery. I know that you will do well as you are in good hands. Take care and try to relax and have faith and confidence in the competence of your surgeon. You did your homework on choosing your surgeon, now relax and let him practice his craft.

Sending good vibrations your way. Trust me, the fusion to the sacrum really is not very limiting. I am very surprised.

                    Hugs, Susan
