Linda, I'm sorry you have to have another surgery, but glad you can get it taken care of soon. Will he brace you this time? I'm personally going to put you on strict orders to use a walker or cane or whatever you need post-op so NO MORE FALLS! (Have your pain meds been making you dizzy?) You are such a strong, positive person. You will get through this and come out much better on the other side!

Evelyn, you ask about my pain meds and you got that part right! I have been on this medication for several years because of chronic pain. It was the only thing that worked round the clock.(well sometimes not), but the past year or so I developed the side effect called dropping off. And that's. exactly what happens. Only I thought I could control it. The doctors don't want to change it cause it works so well for pain. It has a stigma that comes with it. Methadone is the pain med I'm talking about. And I know, it is also used for drug addicts. But I use it for pain control. But now I want off of it. We live out in the boonies~~so to see a pain management Dr. Would be four hrs. just one way. There is one two hrs. away. But I'm not very fond of him. And just a plain GP couldn't do it ~~I don't think. I need someone that can calculate the meds. In order to do the switch without any problems.if you know what I mean. Thanks for you support and kind words.
        God Bless, Linda

          Linda,
I have thought so much about you lately. I'll be sending positive thoughts and prayers your way on the 31st. I'm so sorry that you have to go through another surgery, but this should be the last. I fell at three weeks when standing up and moving too quickly, but fortunately didn't break a rod. The pain medications can make you light headed so be very, very careful.

                        Hi Doreen,
Dr. Lenke said that the surgery will be around four to five hours. And I'll be in the hospital three to four days. It's at 7:30the 31st of May. I am so ready ,as this broken rod is painful. Darn!! I had to quit beating myself up, as it's hard to be positive while kicking myself at the same time.
Doreen, how are you? Are you going to see the cervical surgeon in St Louis? I believe you were going to see a local neck Dr. In the last post I read. I so hope thing work out for you. You are enjoying so many things! I will pray for you ~~and keep us posted as to how you are. Sending you a Big Gentle Hug!!!Linda
