Surgery two weeks away and have a cold

Hi Everyone.......Wouldn't you know that I have come down with a runny nose and scratchy throat and am two weeks from surgery. I don't have a fever but feel like a truck hit me. I am taking coricidan and plan to double up on Vitamin C. Any suggestions and what are the rules facing surgery and having cold symptoms? Ugh!!!!

It's a stressful time, so no surprise that you've come down with something. Just take it easy, get plenty of rest, and hopefully you'll be feeling well by the day of surgery.

I hope you're over it before your surgery, Patty. Some vitamins thin the blood, not sure about Vitamin C, but might be worth checking before doubling the dose.

    Rug up and rest.

Hopefully, you'll feel better soon. I know there were some vitamins that I wasn't supposed to take before surgery, but don't remember for sure if it was Vitamin C or not. I would advise checking.
