  • SI joint injection

I had my first SI joint injection last Friday and am scheduled for a second shot in about a month. I am enjoying a little pain relief at the moment and am very happy about that. My face flushed slightly the next day and the other side effect that I have experienced is cramping of my feet early in the morning when I first wake up and am still in bed. I am just curious if this is a side effect that anyone else has experienced? Other than that, all is well.

    hey Sally
i never had a bad reaction to the shots...
until i had too much steroid and my cortisol level dropped
to almost nothing....it was .39 at it's lowest level....
it is still fluctuating as it makes it's way back up...
for some reason, it was 12.1 last time and 11.1 this
month...plus, ACTH is too high....all in all, ongoing
problems that began with steroid overdose....

but i miss the SI joint shots terribly....it has been over 8 months
since last shots, and the further away i get, the worse the lower
back pain gets...the SI joint shots were the ONLY shots that
gave me pain relief....almost total relief
i hope they do the same for you....
