  • Q's about epidural injections

I have had 4 epidural injections over the past year and 1/2 or so, all in my lumbar region. I am now having severe pain just below my right shoulder blade where my top curve is. Here's my question: Do they do injections in any part of the back, or just the lumbar? I'm waiting for my insurance company to approve my next injection right now, so hopefully I can get it scheduled for next week sometime.

Any info or thoughts are appreciated, thanks!
Hope all of you are doing well today and feeling blessed.

i get botox injections in thoracic area every 3-4 months...
i do believe any area of spine can be injected...
though i cannot have any steroid injections anymore, as i
had too much of the stuff, and it caused my cortisol to collapse...

I have pain around and under my shoulder blades as well. I get trigger point injections for that pain and do get relief from the muscle spasms. It lasts about four to six weeks but I'm only supposed to have them every three months because they give steroid into the muscle. It's likely that your pain is also stemming from muscle spasms, since they are common in people with scoliosis. I have had Botox for Cervical Dystonia. I don't know how that will work, yet.
