  • Case study - inbrace correction of a 53* T curve

As I understand this game, in-brace corrections are supposed to be at least 50% if there is any hope to stop progression.

We have a case of a braced T53* that was reduced INBRACE to T47*. That is an 11% correction.

Either the orthotist is incompetent or he is secretly taking pity on the poor child and decreasing the useless torture as much as possible. I choose to think it is the latter. The village may be trying to protect their children.

A reduction from 53 to 47 degrees is barely more than the 5 degree margin of error.

      Good point.

But I think the real story here is the silent aid that the orthotist might be giving to the innocent child. Finally something that doesn't make me feel like spitting or throwing up about this pathetic saga of ignorance and fear.

Ah, OK, I get what you are saying now. I read it quickly the first time - and not having read the case study, I just focused on the numbers.

Well so far the details of that case study are only on this forum.

I am trying to document the case for posterity so it is never repeated.
