  • Well, tomorrow is the BIG day...

    It's here...tomorrow is the BIG day...I'm as ready as i'll ever be - i hurt like crazy - I am anxiously anticipating - the waiting almost over. I thank you all for your comments of support and encouragement - and I look forward to posting from the "other side." Here's to hoping!
    1993/1995: PSF w/ Harrington rods T3-L4
    Jan. 24, 2012: ALIF of L4-L5, L5-S1 w/ cage spacer and BMP
    Jan. 31, 2012: PLIF of L1-S1 w/ pelvic anchors
    Scheduled Nov.15, 2012: Fusion T2-S1 w/ pelvic anchors to fix T12 fracture

      My thoughts will be with you tomorrow! Who knows, maybe your post-op pain won't be as bad as the pain you're in now! Wouldn't that be a great thing? I hope all goes well, as I'm sure it will. (((HUGS)))

                        Have been away for a few days but hope you get my very best wishes in time for your surgery. You sound absolutely ready!

                          Well it's 1:02am... I fel asleep for all of 90 minutes here on the sofa while cuddling my little Macy Girl (my 11 yr old bishon/lhasa mix - shes such a good little cuddler doggie...I'll miss her too) so, now I'm unable to fall back to sleep. Oh well, I guess it doesnt really matter since I'll be "sleeping" most of today (yes it's officially 1/24 as I write this!)

                            I could not sleep before any of my surgeries. You will do just fine.

                              61 years old--57 for surgery

                              Diagnosed in 1965 at age of 13--no brace
                              Thoracic Curve: 96 degrees to 35 degrees
                              Lumbar Curve: 63 degrees to 5 degrees
                              Surgery with Dr. Lenke in St. Louis--March 30, 2009
                              T-2 to Pelvis, and hopefully all posterior procedure.

                              All was posterior along with 2 cages and 6 osteotomies.
