  • 4 surgeries for scoliosis, stroke and now bladder problem

    Hi,

I haven't posted on here in a long time. Feeling really confused. Had my last back surgery which was my 4th 12/06/10. Everything seemed to be going well with recovery until this last fall when I had a minor stroke. Everything has gone downhill from there. And it seems like all my Docs can't get together to really figure out what's going on and what is related. I now can now longer use the bathroom without having to self-cath as my bladder no longer works. I'm told I have neurogenic bladder as a possible result of my back surgery and the stroke. I guess what I'm wondering, has anyone on this forum had a similar problem with urological issues following back surgery ?

    thanks in advance

    Justin

    Hello, Justin.

I haven't had any surgery, but I see that you haven't had any responses to your post. I just wanted to say I'm sorry for all that you are going through. I think maybe the reason for no responses is that no one here has had that problem. Maybe someone here with some medical experience will see this post now and offer their thoughts. I wish you all the best and hope your docs can figure things out for you.

    Take Care,
    Rohrer01

I would also like to say I’m sorry but don’t lose hope. I had a friend who had to cath for a while after a nasty virus. Eventually, everything returned back to normal.
