Vito's ok my family isn't there. They just act like its no big deal and not talk about it. So I a,m so grateful I
Have your support. I was going to call my doctor to schedule the surgery date in January ..... I chickened
Out. But I'm pretty sick of acting like the grandparents in Charlie and the chocolate factory. I'm only 31 and haven't really left my bed since last January. So it's time I do. Does anyone think it is easier then the first scoliosis surgery or worse? I felt like I got ran over by a truck with the first. They went thru the side and took out my rib. So I'm worried it will be uncomfortable to lay on my back with stitches. I remember losing a ton of weight too. I hope this one does. That would be a perc! Lol

I think what's more important is that hardware, drugs and the surgery itself are vastly improved today than when your first surgery was performed, so I would expect your recovery to be much easier than first time round. You are still young so will heal quickly and easily. Best wishes!

In my case, my revision surgeries were much easier than my primary surgeries.

I am sure you will be fine! I've followed a lot of adults who have had scoliosis surgery for the past year and they have done very well. Some do take longer to recover for various reasons and some have amazed me at how quickly they get back into the swing of things. One step at a time.
