well i just got home. At my appt with dr diab was good and funny. It was funny because Dr Diab ordered the worng study. he then called him self two names I don't want to say them. I had to go back to x-ray again for my pelvis x-ray. Then when i got back to the out reach clinic i went back to the room. I have some bad news. I do have hip displasica in my left hip. Dr Diab was beening funny. He was holding my small foot like tresure or like a baby . I bought a stuffed dog and a pc game

Okay, I looked it up. Wow! Do you need one or both hips done? I'm going to assume that if you need both done, the surgeries will have to be spaced apart by some lengthy time period. You will be our little bionic girl! You can definitely sympathize and empathize with other people undergoing major operations. You are an amazingly strong young woman. Hang in there, we're all pulling for you!
Well, I went and reread your post. Thankfully it is in just one hip, but what I said still applies. Hang in there! HUGSLast edited by rohrer01; 10-29-2011, 01:37 AM.Be happy!

You don’t sound too scared of this procedure. Your very brave....
There is a vast amount of info online about PAO.....
How is your back doing? If you decide to move on this, you will be on crutches for awhile.
I guess this would make you a hip chick!

I know it's not scoli surgery, but keep us posted, okay? I'm wondering if hip dysplasia is more common in scoli cases or if you just got hit with a double whammy? Food for thought. Maybe you can ask your doctor. Please make sure you are healed enough from your spine surgery before taking on this new surgery. Of course, you have your sister you can talk to about it and you know from her experience what to expect. Take care!Be happy!
