  • That is so hard to believe. But as Linda, said (I think it was Linda), at least you weren't moved in, yet. I know we had to find an insurer and have the insurance in place in order for our loan to go through. It was tough for us because we bought an older house with only 60AMP electrical service. We almost couldn't buy the house because almost ALL of the insurance companies wanted 110AMP or higher (we finally found ONE insurance company - an unknown that served us well, actually). I hope your mortgage company required the same for you, so you at least get back any money you put in. You could have lost your lives in there had you moved in! I'm so thankful that you hadn't moved, yet. Please know we are all thinking about you and wishing you all the best.
    Be happy!
We don't know what tomorrow brings,
    but we are alive today!

      • I'm so sorry to read this Melissa. I could hardly believe my eyes in fact. I'm very glad you had insurance but so very sorry that now you have to deal with an insurance company and are still without a home you can call your own. Wishing you strength as you go through this latest ordeal. But as others say, at least you hadn't moved in. It could have been so much worse. *hugs*

              • Melissa--
My last night's post seems to have been lost. Suffice it to say that this is unimaginable that this also has happened to you. I'm so very sorry. I am glad to see you had insurance and that you weren't there yet but it still must be such an enormous blow to you. Prayers to you and your family. Janet

                • I am incredibly calm about it. Thanks for all the prayers. I have decided to let God do what he does best and that is to take care of me. I have given him all my worries and I feel so good about it. We were not destined to live in that house for some reason. Tomorrow we meet with the insurance adjuster and we will see what we will get from them and make some decisions about our future.

As to my physical problems, I saw Dr Bederman today and the fusion is coming along nicely. he is very pleased with my progress and said that I am walking much better.I told him that I have problems holding my head up straight. He said that I should try negative heel shoes . In the afternoon, I saw Dr Koury , who is a doctor that is in his office,. She gave me another injection into my bursa and we shall see if it helps.

So I am doing ok today and I thank you all again for your good wishes

The construction had not yet started. It was going to start yesterday . We had not heard the official report as to why the fire started. I will let everyone know as soon as I find out anything. Thanks for Hugs . I can always use hugs.
